If you are a gardener and need a place for all your gardening tools and a place to repot your plants, etc., then consider building a potting shed.  By building your own shed, you can save quite a bit of money.  There are many DIY Potting Shed Plans available online, you just have to find one that fits your particular needs.

A few things to consider before choosing your Potting Shed Plans:

  • Size – Do you just need storage space or would you like to also have room for an indoor workspace?  You are always better off going a little larger than you think you need, it may cost a little more in material but then you will have room to work in.
  • Windows – Do you need natural light or ventilation?  You will want to place your windows where you get the best lighting and ventilation, specially if you plan on using the work area on a regular basis.
  • Plumbing – If you will be doing a lot of potting and propagating your plants, it would be good to have a faucet and sink for watering and clean up.
  • Electrical - Decide if you will need additional lighting for your work area or for grow lights, etc.

Once you have decided everything you need in your shed, it will make it much easier to select your set of  DIY Potting Shed Plans. Always remember when choosing your shed plans to make sure they come with a complete material list, cut sheets and detailed step by step instructions.
